Will Nicoll was first inspired to play music and write songs by his father who, along with his identical twin brother, had played in the Nicoll Brothers Band since 1969. Growing up in small-town Humboldt County, California, Will wrote his first song about his brother, a Marine who was seriously injured in Iraq. Though he would go on to write songs of all shades and shapes, they would all be sung with a deep breath and a strong feel. He would go on to play all over the Humboldt area with Steel Toed Slippers.

Will Nicoll's love for guitar and playing live brought him to Los Angeles at the age of 17, where he would receive a degree from Musician's Institute. He can now be found playing with STS full time, always growing as an artist, always expressing himself, and always putting his whole heart out on the stage.
